Taiwo Amasa

Taiwo Amasa is a Nigerian actor, director, and producer known for his work in Yoruba-language films. He began his acting career in 2009 and gained recognition with early roles in movies like Maajobalo and Imole a tan. After relocating to the United States, Amasa expanded his skills in directing and screenwriting, training under Nollywood veterans like Bayo Alawiye and Army Jo California. He has since become a prominent voice in the Nollywood diaspora, working to blend African storytelling with international production standards. Over the years, Amasa has directed more than 18 movies and produced 8, including notable titles like Room Mate (2022), Pitfall (2024), and Arobo. His work has earned industry recognition, including nominations at the 2022 Yoruba Movie/Music Gist Awards. Taiwo Amasa continues to contribute to the growth of Nollywood by creating compelling films that reflect African values while appealing to a global audience.
