
Charles Ukpong
**Charles Ukpong** is a veteran Nigerian actor, director, writer, and producer with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He has worked on major productions like *Tinsel*, *Super Story*, *Things Fall Apart*, *Shuga*, and *The Deal*, collaborating with industry greats such as Wole Soyinka, Fred Amata, and Tade Ogidan. His work spans radio, stage, television, and film, and he is also a professional photographer and events manager. Ukpong served as the General Secretary of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP) and has held key roles in national cultural festivals, including the Abuja Carnival. In addition to his screen and stage work, Ukpong is an accomplished playwright. His debut play, *Mma Udoma*, explores the 1929 Aba Women's Revolt and celebrates the bravery of Nigerian women in colonial history. He was also the curator of the Uyo International Theatre and Film Festival in 2018. Passionate about storytelling and cultural preservation, Ukpong continues to contribute to the growth and global visibility of Nollywood.
