Bayo Bankole, popularly known by his stage name Boy Alinco, is a veteran Nigerian actor renowned for his comedic roles, particularly in the sitcom Papa Ajasco and Company. Born in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, Bankole embarked on his acting career in the early 1990s, gaining prominence with his portrayal of Boy Alinco, a charming yet mischievous character. His performance in Papa Ajasco made him a household name, endearing him to audiences across Nigeria and beyond. In addition to his acting career, Bankole is a graduate of Theatre Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and has featured in several Yoruba films, showcasing his versatility as an actor. He married an American woman shortly after his move, but described the first two years of their marriage as a "bitter experience" due to financial struggles and the challenges of adapting to a new life.
